Shanan’s first introduction to yoga was through a video she found as a high schooler looking to find the “perfect work out”…but it wasn’t until her college years that she started taking classes in a studio with a real life teacher and began her love affair with the practice. Though it would take years for her practice to become a regular and dependable part of her weekly routine, Shanan always knew that yoga was the support system she needed to combat the stressful effects of a busy professional life. Shanan recently took her practice to the next level by traveling to the south of Mexico to study Restorative Alignment under Brigitte Longueville’s guidance, in the process earning her first 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher certification. Returning stateside with a new view on how this ancient practice can enhance one’s life throughout their life, Shanan is committed to sharing with her students the yoga that has been shared with her. She brings a gentle, positive energy and open-hearted presence to class in hopes that all will feel welcome and safe to explore their practice and in the process, develop tools and strength to help enhance their life experience.
