Kate’s karma drew her towards yoga practice in 2002 and she completed formal Yoga Alliance certified teacher training in 2009. After exploring various teachers ranging from Bikram to Taoist backgrounds she is grateful to have found her home in the teachings of Satguru Swami Sivananda and Sri Swami Vishnudevananda. Since then, Kate has spent many hours in workshops and contemplative study and has studied at Sivananda Yoga Farm Ashram in Grass Valley, CA.
As she works to balance Ha and Tha in all aspects of life, Kate offers students a traditional form of Hatha yoga focused on uncovering inner guidance to provide a road map to bliss. Through embracing meditation, silence, and all things that end in question marks, Kate has become a firm believer in the power of humor and gratitude to transcend the mind and liberate the spirit. She also likes walking with dogs, making food, holding small children while they sleep, reading books, laughing, vegetables, and kindness.
